3 Denim and Pearl Outfits Perfect for the Summer
Denim and pearls make the best combination — bringing together the casualness of denim and the elegance of pearls. I’ve pulled together 3 chic outfits for busy moms to look amazing, but also without sacrificing comfort. My goal with getting dressed is to look polished and put together, but everything needs to be comfortable and functional. That means flat comfortable shoes that can walk from playground to playground, nothing too tight or poor fitting, and huge pockets for all of the things my toddler asks me to hold. It also means durable jewelry that can withstand my toddler’s tiny tugging hands.
Be the best dressed mom at the playground or park
The ultimate goal as a mom is to be both comfortable and chic at the same time. I will never deny a jumpsuit and love this dark denim version that’s tailored just enough, but still roomy enough to be comfortable. To balance out the denim, I love pairing it with a simple baroque pearl necklace that’s elegant but modern, and just adds a dynamic look to denim. I never head to the park without a sun hat. And fun sunglasses just complete the look with a pair of strappy gold sandals.

See what I mean? Another jumpsuit. I couldn’t resist this one in the cutest conductor stripe print. Super stylish and comfortable straight leg pants and just look. at. those. pockets. Think of all of the snacks, toys, books, bottles, and burritos you could store in there. The fun daisy and pearl dangle earrings brighten up the look to give it a playful edge.
I’m also obsessed with cotton neckerchief bandanas at the moment. They are such an easy way to add a print or pop of color to an outfit. I’ve listed the Alex Mill version below, but I also personally love the super soft cotton Madewell bandana scarves. The prints are on point and they are so easy to style up.

The cropped shirt and high waisted straight leg denim pant silhouette is one of my favorites. I’m not a fan of leaving my midriff exposed, but so love the look of a cropped shirt. That’s where the high waist bottoms come in. The pairing is magical. And this terracotta / rust color in linen is perfect paired with the rich denim pants.
The mother of pearl daisy choker paired with the flower pearl drop earrings add the perfect kiss of summer. The straw bag ties the summer look together with shells that form a flower motif.
